Does it seem like Ubisoft is starting to slack?

Does anyone else notice Ubisoft is starting to somewhat slack? You look at Assassins Creed III which isn't all that old and it still has plenty of bugs like not being able to 100% the game due to sequence bugs, and no matter how much people complain to Ubisoft and no matter how many times they promise a fix they only seem to fix the Multiplayer of the game and now we get Assassins Creed IV which looks exactly like Assassins Creed III (even the assassin robes, just without the Indian stuff to it) seems like a DLC more than a game. I think I am going to wait of ACIV now because it most likely will have bugs which stops you from 100% completing the game and they will most likely concentrate more on Multiplayer than anything else.

AC3 wasn't necessarily a bad game, it was just hella boring. I won't be buying AC4 (OK, I probably will, because prior to 3 it was one of my all-time favourite series and I'm an optimist) because it just looks like more of the same, to the point of making the new character the father of Haytham, meaning we get to spend a bit more time with the dullest fucking family to ever have stained the face of the earth.

Who 100%'s an Assassin's Creed game? There's so much busy-work to do in those that at some point it's gotta just stop being fun and become a massive chore. Even in the first one, halfway through I just ended up doing the bare minimum to move the plot along because everything got too repetitive for me to enjoy it.

I really hope you're talking about Desmond's family in general, because Haytham and his interactions with Connor had more personality than Desmond ever did throughout the course of five separate games.

This is how I feel about 100% completion on just about any game. What's the point? It's just, as you say, a chore.

You mean Haytham the part-time waxwork dummy impersonator and Connor, proud owner of the emotional range of a small decorative rug? I could really do with never, ever seeing either of them or their bland faces ever again. Altair may have been aloof and distant, but at least that was part of his character rather than an excuse for not even bothering to give him one.

As for Desmond, got to say I didn't hate him. I think a lot of his status as a bland character comes from leftover memes from the early games. He never becomes that interesting, I grant you, but he certainly has a character arc and grows as a person throughout the series. It's a pity he talks like Keanu Reeves though, as I can see that throwing a lot of people off.

Do you mean Assassin's Creed is starting to slack? Because Far Cry 3 was amazing, Watch Dogs looks amazing, I hear the latest Rayman was great.

starting? they have been slacking for a while now, and whenever they inevitably fuck up they just blame the consumers.

Well there was Far Cry 3 and Rayman Origins, which were two of my favourite games that year.

Judging on the games I think they're doing fine.

More or less yea Assassins Creed is starting to slack the most of the Ubisoft series but I still think Ubisoft is slacking you can just feel it in their games, but don't get me wrong Far Cry 3 was great but I think they could of done better with the Co-Op and focused a bit more on the SP than the MP which it seems like what they did.

Hopefully this is the very last Assassins Creed because after II it started going way downhill and getting sloppy.

Well they are pumping out these games like mad (almost up there with EA/Activision), obviously there isn't time to fix shit.

Pretty much. The way I see it you got the high profit companies like Activision who make shit loads of cash off Call of Duty and they make those left and right every year, same shit different disk, single player is literally 4 hours long, the multiplayer is all its made for, dlcs are for mainly for mp, new CoD every year. Easy cash for them of course, and it seems like a lot of companies are starting to do this thinking its a good idea to turn them self into shit just for cash. The only reason Activision makes so much money doing this is because for some reason everyone is addicted to CoD and doesn't seem to have any problem with playing the SAME EXACT multiplayer just with different maps and guns.

Meh.

I didn't get AC3 because of the setting. I have 0 interest in playing a game during the American Revolution. I signed on to Assassins Creed for one reason - getting to climb around Renaissance Italy.

I mean, the Desmond plot certainly wasn't what kept me coming back. Ugh. No - the best part about the AC series was getting to climb the ROMAN COLISEUM. Holy crap, that was the like the best hour I've ever wasted. ^^

The boat stuff in AC4 looks mildly interesting, but... meh. I'm still sad they didn't go for the French Revolution, cause Paris I would have loved to climb around.

On the publishing side they've never stopped. Remember that they were the only major publisher that backed Starforce for their PC titles.
