Does The Escapist seem slow to you?

This just happens at any random occasion, regardless of internet connection. One moment I can jump from page to page without any trouble, the next it takes ten minutes to leave a single post. I wondered if it just might be my internet, but all the other sites I try work fine.
Does this ever happen to you on this site?

EDIT: Ok, so in the time it took me to take a shower and refresh the page (which literally took three minutes) I have read the comments and compiled all of the possible reasons that The Escapist lags.

1. Bad internet connection
2. Yahtzee causing traffic
3. Not enough servers
4. Poor coding from The Escapist themselves
5. lulzec did it
6. Not being a member of the Pub Club (I'm gonna be pretty pissed off if this is the case)

It happened once before, but it was just a shitty net connection at the time.
I haven't experienced your specific problem, though.

Yup, it's been doing it to me too. I've also been getting "Cannot connect to server" errors and even a few "Server's taking too long to respond."

Just blame Yahtzee for it.

Same here. When I tried the Alice review movie this morning it wouldn't work, same with ZP, but in both cases the situation resolved itself after about fifteen minutes. General browsing is sometimes fine and sometimes really slogs - particularly if it involves the forums.

Probably a hiccup in the servers, hopefully it will be straightened out soon.

It has been happening to me today. I think the lag managed to make me double-post my first thread. Just my luck. I wonder what is going on. Hopefully it will be sorted by the next time I try to make a thread, or this will get so embarrassing I might as well hang my head in shame and leave.

Yep, sometimes its snail slow, others its fine. Probably overload of traffic is what I'm guessing.

Once a new ZP is up that is to be expected, the servers just get overloaded with view requests.

The site's been a bit iffy for me ever since Lulzsec DDoSed it last week, it's possible some hardware burned out and hasn't been replaced yet.

It's been the same for me, though the quote thing seems to work properly for me now (i used to have to press it twice to get it to input into the text field)...
