If its in the US, it won't happen. The democrats have a huge majority and won't vote for the draft. Most republicans won't either. And with the troops being withdrawn, we won't need one, but that's counting on Obama, and Congress's intelligence.

Not heard this, are you talking about the USA?
well its either the US or the UK. if its the US however it is possible that all the angry baby boomers will make it pass. although im safe due to the fact that im flat footed and i cant go into combat. i know this because i've tried.

First off, give us a source: a NEWS source. I find this hard to believe.

Secondly, they wouldn't draft someone who can't perform certain tasks (your buddy is probably safe) but as far as the draft rules go, I'm pretty sure that all citizens of a certain age are eligible.

Thirdly, why would we need more soldiers? Isn't our magnificent President going to draw us out of Iraq?

Well, I know perfectly well that I'll be the one to ride the A Bomb like a horse as it's dropped. Best way to go there is.

And hopefully this is in the USA, I have an allergic reaction to bullets that could be fatal. I think it's something in the lead.

Sniper!

Also... if the draft comes back, it's not like it's hard to dodge it. All you have to do is "Fail" the colour-blindness test. That's how my grandfather got out of it :(

Isn't the draft ALWAYS possible to be brought back? Doesn't someone say that pretty much every year?

For one thing: This won't happen.

For another: I'm under age, so it doesn't affect me!

For yet another: If by some random stroke of craziness, the draft does come back, and I'm 18, then hello Canada!

I think it's the powder they use to shoot the bullets

Your friend will most likely be safe, an even if your not a registered voter there are other pools they tap into to reinstate the draft. My dad wasn't a registered voter during Nam and he got drafted, luckily for him it was close to the end of the war so he never actually had to go through with it, he never even went to boot camp.

Or just kiss your male recruiter infront of everyone.
I prefer my plan.
