I noticed that the little by-line under this forum was "Movies, music and drink recipes", and yet I have not encountered any drink recipes thus far.

So, post your favourite drinks (alcoholic or non) - one of my favourites is a Blue Lagoon, goes down smooth. Don't remember the recipe though, so anyone who can tell me it gets an imagined high five and slap on the back!

*cough*

I like most coffees and teas. I also like gatorade rain and many softdrink beverages.

But sometimes I just get chocolate syrup and poor it into coffee. Maybe add ice cubes, whoops creams, Hershey kisses, etc. Because that's how I role.

I stole my roommate's bottle of vodka and tried the combination of "anything drinkable in the fridge + vodka." The most interesting concoction was definitely a tall, cold glass of sweet tea with a hit of Grey Goose.

I am actually drinking this even as I type:

Fill a shaker with two thirds ice then add a shot and a half of Hendricks gin, a shot of cucumber vodka, half a shot of rosewater and a dash of vanilla syrup. Shake and strain into a Martini glass.

I imagine this is what Martha Stewart's blood tastes like. In fact, next time I make it, I'm going to throw in some red food coloring and rename it "Martha Stewart's Blood."

Now the question is, since I am a very small person who gets buzzed very easily, what game should I play drunk? I'm thinking the Half-Life puzzles are going to be a no-go for me and anything platform-y is going to result in a lot of four-story faceplants. Probably something turn-based rather than a shooter, given that my aim is about ready to get pretty damn bad.

Flaming Dr Pepper hands down...
Fill a cup a little over halfway with beer
Shot glass 3/4ths full of Amaretto then the rest with Bacardi 151
Light
Drop
Drink
Enjoy
IMO best cost to drunkenness ratio ever
most of the stuff is pretty cheap except the 151 but you only use like 1/4 of it per drink
Last time we figured it out it was like $1.50 a drink or something

Try Rez, or Lumines. Any really flashy game which is bound to make you violently and hilariously ill at some point.

I've heard good stuff about Rez, and that it's supposed to be pretty good while stoned, though after one rather bad hash cookie experience, I won't be testing that out.

Just say no, kids! Drugs are bad! [http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6696582420128930236]

I'm afraid I've given up every kind of hard liquor except bourbon and scotch.

Jim Beam + splash of lemon juice + water & ice = pure heaven

The citrus is really the magic ingredient. It also helps if you're smoking a large cigar.

The Aperture Smoothie:

1 medium-sized slice of cake (cheesecake, chcolate cake, whatever, as long as it isn't full of fruit, it needs to be smooth), kept in the freezer until hard.
2 scoops of icecream (any flavour).
Quarter-pint of whole cream.
3 shots of whiskey/amaretto.

Put in a blender and blitz until at a drinkable consistency.

Enjoy.

That sounds really good. Me + Bourbon = Trouble. I love me some Jack-Coke, but sweet weeping Jesus, have I ever done some dumb (but fun! but dumb!) shit after having a bit too much of it.

I have some Highland Scotch in the cupboard and a lemon in the fridge. Now the only question is whether alcohol is going to make me more or less bitchy at this point.

This has been done.... twice before I believe. It was approved of the first time, but the second was locked for being redundant. I suggest you find the other thread and use it instead of posting here.

My fiance is stuck on colorado bulldogs; its just a white russian with some coke. I'm a beer knurd, I still haven't turned her yet. We used to make some good shots called "throw me down and fuck me"'s. 3 parts soco, 3 parts cheap whiskey, 4 parts pineapple juice, 2 parts grenadine; they're pretty weak compared to a straight up shot, but they're good and chicks dig em, so make em in a pitcher.

Haha, I did wonder if anyone would make a joke about the Pangalactic gargle blaster (it was almightyjoe for the non-Brits out there!). Throwing in my two cents, you can't go wrong with a treble gin and vimto. An old student haunt I went to sold them for about 2 pounds and it was far and away the cheapest way to get drunk enough to 'enjoy' some of York's clubs.
