I never read the original comics, only watched the original show as a kid. But I have heard they're trying to mix the comics with the old cartoon, hence why Donald's in this iteration and not in the old show and why the opening has a bit on a comic book vibe.Queen Michael said:I'm excited. Never gonna miss an episode of this. Now, to be fair, I was never a huge fan of the original Duck Tales, since it felt like a distortion of the Carl Barks comics it was based on and that I had read as a kid. It always felt so weird when the Beagle Boys had differing body shapes instead of being identical, and when Magica de Spell's voice didn't sound like I imagined it.
I'll say it has a comic book vibe--much of the imagery is directly based on old Donald Duck comics paintings by Carl Barks.RaikuFA said:I never read the original comics, only watched the original show as a kid. We haven't even heard her speak. She has a clip where she Luigi's Mansions a ghost and she doesn't speak in it.Ogoid said:...I had no idea this was a thing. Will definitely at least check it out.
Only one slight WTF moment in that opening... apparently Mrs. Beakley is now a champion weightlifter, or something?
