I think your design and choices in tape are good. The only thing I can possibly think is, if you're willing to do it, a bit of weathering. If it's post-apocalypse themed, presumably everything isn't going to be all clean and pristine. Maybe you could take some sandpaper to some parts, fray out some of the string in the tape on certain corners, maybe even add a few well-placed cuts and tears. Just make it look worn--focus on the areas that would naturally begin to wear, like the corners and where it folds. Maybe even wear something, and then patch it back up with another material. And don't forget to have fun with it--maybe take a lighter to one part and melt it a bit, come up with some sort of story for how the burn occurred (actually, you'd want to do that the other way around. Come up with the story, and then make the burn).

At the moment it seems a bit too bright for a post apocalyptic bag. Maybe try getting some more dull warning tape?

I took UPS bubble wrap large envelope, coverd one side with duct tape, put a sheet of convise on the other, then put a sheet of cotton over the canvise to form the linning of the bag. The sides and bottem are just garrilla duct tape layerred over eachother then convise, then cotton. The back of the bag...well I have no idea what happened there, I really forget that.

Here are some update pictures
