Hello, Due to the hassle and poor battery life of my laptop, I was interested in buying an e-reader of some sort, But I need .pdf compatibility. This limits my options to:

"PDF files are supported on the following e-book readers: iRex iLiad, iRex DR1000, Sony Reader, Bookeen Cybook, Foxit eSlick, Amazon Kindle (1, 2, International & DX), Barnes & Noble nook and the upcoming iPad." - Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_e-book_formats)

I have narrowed my preferred choices to either:
A Sony model, for the aesthetics;

Or whatever this community recommends;

The list of compatible models is above and i was looking for reviews on them, or just general suggestions. I would prefer decent battery life, witch I'm not so sure Sony can deliver; a decent sized screen, it doesn't have to be huge, just clear; And something that I can just pull up and search a document with.
May be I'm in the wrong field and should be looking at netbooks, either way, I just need access to .pdf's on the go.
Your Replies are greatly appreciated.

If you can afford it, get an iPad. Not only is it a fully color e-Reader, but it can do a whole lot more than that.

It's what I would get if I weren't a jobless shut in.
