I've been an avid reader/watcher of The Escapist for quite a while now, and I've got very into E-sports since Starcraft 2 came out (I usually spend as much, if not more time watching the game than playing it - take that as you will). However I've noticed that barely any of the E sports headlines seem to make it onto this site at all. I've seen very little looking at gaming as a sport or looking into how it'll grow and it's sustainability. Doing a search on the MLG Columbus tournament that's currently going on brought up nothing more than an article about a different MLG halfway through 2010.
This isn't really a criticism of the escapist, I'm just curious as to why there is so little mention of something which I would have thought to be very newsworthy - GSL winners are taking home over $60K dollars now so it seems to be rather huge. Is it just that the esports community on here is that small?
