I'm actually getting rather tired of this bullshit rhetoric.
If people didn't buy their stuff, then EA wouldn't be doing what it's doing.
Stop throwing money at EA and maybe they'll change their ways.
/thread in the first response anyone? But yeah that's what I'm doing. Haven't bought a new EA game in over a year.
"Hello, my name is Hazy and I buy EA games."
(group) "Hi, Hazy."
"I've been clean for an year now."
Why must you remind me of my past, DoPo?! Why?!
Nah, I never really bought that many EA games anyway (in fact almost never), I just made the conscious decision to not buy them.
Don't worry, man, we're here to help. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to overcoming it.
OK, I don't really see anything weird that you haven't bought many EA games. Most recent ones don't hold my attention either. And I mean, I can count the games that I find interesting on one hand (out of any EA affiliated games): Spore (fun. I actually never advanced into the space age, I like the others, though), DA:O (sort of meh but it can pass the time), Mass Effect 1-3(see DA:O but it's slightly better), Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (similar to DA:O but worse overall. Still seems slightly more fun), Syndicate (don't really have an opinion. I am thinking of checking it out at some point. Maybe.). Out of these ME 3 I haven't bought yet because it's not worth full price (to me at least) and same goes for KoA - played the demo and wasn't impressed, decided I might consider it if it was reduced. Seeing how the studio is bankrupting, I think my decision was good.
So that's 7 games over the course of...4 years. And I've bought 4 of them. The next most recent EA game I can think of was NFS: Underground (which I didn't buy but played). So unless I'm missing something, that's about 9 years with 8 games (not all of which I've even bought).
I think I can live with that.
