I have a pair of Skullcandy 50/50s. I'm not really sure if that matters, considering the problem comes solely from the male 3.5 jack. The copper (I think it is) coating around the jack port has completely faded away from use, and now if the slightest vibration occurs, I lose sound completely, and have to spend 1-3 minutes getting it back in place, which is a problem since I use them for running predominantly. What can I do to fix this? I had an old pair of ear-buds that had jack problems, and I tried to fix it using another 3.5, and my own skills, it was a cluster-f*ck. Does anyone know who/what business I can go to, to fix this? Thanks.

Personally you might be better off simply buying a new pair of Buds. Unless they cost $100+ (I hope not) then it's probably easier to simply buy a new set.

Skullcandy is expensive like that yo XD

To OP, get better buds man. I have MAudio IE 40s and have had them for a long time with no problems at all. Plus as an added bonus if you do mess up the cord or jack you can buy replacement cords for it for about $10-$20
