I'm not sure if this is an OK thing to do, all of my reviewing in the past was written stuff, and I'm just trying out some video editing and stuff - I'd love to know what the distinguished Escapist community thinks

I enjoyed your emphasis on new IPs as they are really the games make the biggest impact on me, and that's why 2011 is not nearly that good of a year for gaming, sequels just all over the place. The most memorable games this gen for me are Bayonetta, Vanquish, Mirror's Edge, Heavenly Sword, Valkyria Chronicles, Dark Souls (new to me, I haven't played Demon's Souls), Batman AA, etc. I still enjoy sequels (I absolutely loved Batman AC) but they rarely give you that "freshness" that new IPs give you. I still need to play L.A. Noire and Catherine, and I expect each to offer different and new experiences.

I would say the mic quality definitely could've been better, low volume and some pops here and there. But the content was good.

And, I think a thread like this might belong in the Review forum though.
