Hey guys hows it going, im coming here to ask for some computer help.

This has frustrated me to no end.Whatever i adjust the settings to i still get a fair amount of lag on the game slowing down drastically in some situations.

My spec are...
2.8 quad core
3gigs of ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 295

All my drivers are up-to-date and my game is fully patched, does anyone have any idea why i am getting such low frame rates?(dropping to about 10 in some cases)

I would say it's the graphic's card normally but for once that's not the case. It might be that it needs a patch. I would suggest digging around the site for one, or nVidia might have a patch for it as well.

The game was poorly coded to begin with. Perhaps patching it might help, assuming the devs adressed the problem properly.

The gpu is a beast, and im not positive but the 2.8 ghz cpu may be holding it back....You could try overclocking but make sure you know what your doing. Other than that it could be that the game is poorly done.

Try running the game on one core or two cores. Don't know if you can do with a Quad core, but your problem is that your PC is kinda too powerfull to run Empire. And yes that sounds really retarded.

If you don't know how to make the game just use one part of the processor, start the game then go Ctrl+alt+del->Process->look for Empire.exe->right click on the exe->Define Afinity and a window will pop up with the cores that the game is using-> disable CPI 2,3 and 4(Leave CPU 0 and 1 working.) ANd try to run Empire. If nothing changes then you better email CA themselfs.
