Have you ever told a story, and then to make it seem more interesting, you've spiced it up with some lies? Or wanted to post in a thread here, but you didn't have a story to post, so you made something up?

I'm a bit ashamed to admit that I may have exaggerated a few of my posts on this site. For example on threads like "Your highest killstreak" and such I may have exaggerated the numbers once or twice.

[sub]Sorry...[/sub]

But 98% of what I post here is true!

All the time. Nothing's better than enhanced truth.

Like this one time me and a mate where walking down the road and a helicopter crashed into the building down the road - well, actually it was a car, and all it did was bump slightly against the traffic light - no in fact it was a dog that ran loose and chased some squirrels - BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

I used to do so a few years back... but that's in the past. There's no point to it... and only bad things can come from it.

This statement is a lie.

OT: Yeah, because when you don't have anything interesting to say, you make up something. And when they ask 'really?', I respond: no, I just made that up.

I exaggerate in person for comic effect. It works in comedy for me as I have my strange stories from my life and my manic nature and exaggeration makes for a funny story.

I do hate when people play online and say

"OH GOD, I SHOT HIM IN THE HEAD LIKE 20 TIMES"

No you did not. You missed. Get over it.
Like jumping out a window?

OP: I used to lie A LOT but not anymore, of course i still do occasionally

Enhancing the truth actually means being more truthful if you think about it. The defintion for Enhancing is:

1 obsolete : raise
2 : heighten, increase; especially : to increase or improve in value, quality, desirability, or attractiveness

So if the truth was enhanced than it would be more truthful, not less truthful. I'm not trying to be a Grammar Nazi but I see this happen so much that I feel the need to comment on it at least once.

On Topic: I like to exaggerate. It makes the stories more interesting and the people listening to it more interested. I don't do it all the time, only when exaggerating will not cause and I'm not outright making stuff up.

I fail at lying. When I even try it, normally I can pass it as the truth until my conscience eats my soul apart, and 5 minutes later I'm admitting and apologising for the lie. I used to lie all the time, but now its hard.
