Okay guys 'n' gals, I'm on an epic movie binge and I need your help! I've got a pretty decent lineup but I figured some outside input wouldn't be bad.

Just watched The Avengers and Avatar and my next few hours are going to be Kingdom of Heaven, the LOTR trilogy, and Gladiator.

So, any suggestions for the rest of the weekend?

The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption is the most epic movie of all.

So it should be first on your list. The other suggestions so far have been good, too, but not SK3 good.

Reservoir Dogs is arguably the best film Tarantino ever made. Depends on how good you are at arguing.

The Departed and The 51st State are fantastic whatever the weather. And if you fancy some cheesy Arnie one liner awesome, you can't go wrong with The Running Man.

One must ask though, is there any list where you wouldn't put SK3?

Apparently not... seeing as how 'SK3' is his list now...(!)

Ben-Hur.
Spartacus.
The Ten Commandments.

Enjoy ;)
Bugger... beaten to it on two...

OK...

Slightly less epic-y period films:

Fall of the Roman Empire
El Cid
The 300 Spartans - not really considered an 'epic' though...

And for the typical WWII list:

the Longest Day
Tora! Tora! Tora!
A Bridge Too Far
Battle of Britain

I'm gonna vote for Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Epic boss fights are epic.

Seriously, the first time I watched that movie, during the 5th and 6th evil exes, I was almost hooting and hollering in my seat it was so awesome.

I found Prometheus to be quite mindblowingly epic. Sure it had enough flaws to sink the Titanic but hell, I still found it to be the deepest and entertaining sci-fi this year.

Of course, I haven't seen Looper yet...
saw that thing yesterday and did not realize it was a prequel till the very end, which blew my mind, eventhough, with retrospect, it was very obvious, even if you did watch the core series with just one eye ( i was a bit tired from doing sport at the time)

OT: i would suggest watching The Book of Eli

and if u are feeling adventurous, i would suggest a soviet classic "White Sun of the Desert." there are subbed versions out there, so no need to worry about that.

It is a scientific fact that Pulp Fiction is the best movie of all time

Make sure the kingdom of heaven version you're watching is the extended/directors cut.
