Just out of curiosity, I was woundering what people think are the era's of home video game console.
I'd have to say:
1) the preloded era. (such as the APF TV fun which came preloaded with a few pong like games and a few shoot the square games)
2) the cartridge era. (Atari 2600, NES, super Nintendo, game boy, ect.)
3) the Disk era (current era). (PS, game cube, 360, ect)
4) the download era (emerging era). (playstation store, Xbox live, smart phone apps, ect)

Right now I think we're on the blurry boarder between the disk and downloadable era. I went with the disk era as the current one because it seems to still be the bread and butter of the industry. What do you think?
