I wonder if he was contacted by Michael Bay or his producers/managers, it just seems peculiar that he just now issues an apology >.>

Another movie that I just saw that should be on the worst movies of 2010:

Salt.

Seriously, go see it. It's dreadful.

So...we basically got 1.5 minutes of an actual review here.

Good to hear that True Grit was good...not that that should surprise anyone.

I enjoyed True Grit, while it wasn't "amazing" by any means, it did hit all the right notes at the right times and was a really enjoyable film. However, I much preferred TRON: Legacy, more my style of film. Still, both are great films in my humble opinion, so I'd check them both out.

Am I the only one that thinks it is just weird/kinda wrong to remaking a John Wayne movie? And I liked Bad Boys 2, even if it was directed by him. >_>

Hey now, I grew up in the snow belt and I LOVE snow, I envy you bastards right now.
OT:What do you think about "The Rock" since that seems to be the film that got Michael Bay into the Criterion Collection [http://www.criterion.com/].

"The next person to as it fun to get all that snow after xmas is going to get punched", huh?

Just like if anybody asks me if all that rain here in So-Cal did any good; there will be punching.

Inception? Where is Inception on the best movies list? Bob?
Why did I see this one coming haha? I'd say just drop it, not everyone can have the same opinion.

Anyway, as for True Grit, when you say Coen Brothers humor, that could mean all sorts. For example prior to it their more serious film was No Country for Old men with the humor mostly being things we wouldn't really laugh at in real life.

I'm definitely going to see True Grit, I have always enjoyed the Coen brothers' movies! BUT, are you saying that everyone who enjoys a Mike Bay film is a douchebag? That anyone who is not a douchebag could not possibly enjoy a Michael Bay film and that only douchebags enjoy Michael Bay films?

True Grit was great. How can people not enjoy it? It's a well told story, and it's funny.

The thing about True Grit that had me a little nervous was who wrote it, more specifically, the Coen Brothers didn't write it. Most of their best works, especially The Big Lebowski and Raising Arizona, were written, directed, and so on all by them. When they took their hand out of one of the main elements of the film's making, I was a little apprehensive. Glad to hear you think it is good, I'll give it a look.

(Then again, the Coen Brothers wrote, directed, and did everything else for The Ladykillers and that film sucked. A lot. A whole lot.)

Wait a second, Michael Bay and Leonard Nimoy are cousins? Really? Wow, couldn't be more different. Then again, I'm nothing like any of my cousins, so I guess that makes sense...
