Escapist Hacked?

I read in a number of paper and internet publications and articles that The Escapist was hacked during Lulzec's Titanic Tuesday Takedown. I didn't notice if this happened myself, and I've heard of no reaction to this on the site. Did anything happen, what do people think?

Yeah, it was DDoS'd, and the servers went down. Wasn't for too long though, and no other data was lost.

Yeah, there was an attack, then two more shutdowns that I assume were done by The Escapist crew.

It was just some DDOS i think, nothing too serious, still im slightly more annoyed that lulzsec did it.

They didnt hack Escapist. they DDoS the hell out of it. Was funny seeing them post my thread on the lulzsec twitter for the reason why... hmm well I wont be "inciting" anymore of that.

Cool, OK. I just thought it a little strange that it hadn't been mentioned. The Escapist seems to report on most, if not all, of Lulzec's and Anonymous' movements, I thought it may have come up.

It went down because Lulzsec got angry at us for insulting us. The Escapist doesn't want to get DDoS'd again, so the mods are making sure we aren't really talking about it much (-_-)

It's just how it is. I really like the Escapist, but I don't hink I'm losing a lot of sleep over this thing. The only part that bothers me is the added pressure on the staff, but other than that I don't have it in me to whine about this.

Pffft, see...I wouldn't even COUNT it, myself. ANY of those DDoS's. Why? Because it's not REALLY a hack. Did they take over the Escapist and somehow ruin it? No. They rung the doorbell and ran away, if that. Not the same. Not even the equivalent of an egging. LAME!

I don't understand ddosing. My friend did it to a Counter Strike server that kicked us for no reason once.

He's like yea they don't get to play now ... Who really gives a shit. It's not like you can hear them get angry or have to quit. It's more a mild inconvenience than anything else.

I think it's one of those things people say they lulz at, but really even when your hitting bad or good organizations. Your doing very lil other than waving your very short e-penis around. Kinda sad imo.
