Escapist Halo reach group

Tired of getting dog piled by the entire opposing team because the only other guy on your team with a mic was apparently using it to scratch his back? Well look no further!

I'm attempting to gather a group together from this, the prettiest of interweb communities to share in the joy of getting teabagged by the guy who just brutalised you all the way from his armchair the world over. Be warned however, this is not a clan, more a loosely organised group, and thus don't expect to finish each game victorious, or for me to treat this like a second job.

There will however, be some ground rules;

-Like racial slurs as part of your smack talk? Don't bother adding me, as the second I hear one I will be blocking you.
-Nobody under 16. No offence, I'm sure your all very mature, it's just that if I want to play with children Ill go play hide and seek with my daughter.

I would actually like to join this, but I don't get to play Reach very often AT ALL because there is no way for me to access the internet with my Xbox in the dorm room I am staying at. However, I may be able to join up over Christmas break and other such go-home times.

And Korten, I don't believe the OP is talking about a Halo fangroup, per se.

I haven't been playing Halo: Reach lately because I have been gaming on my PC a lot (I love Steam sales).

Not that it'd effect me, as I'm turning 23 next month, but still. Don't judge someone based on a stereotype until they've proven to fit that stereotype.

I won't be getting the Anniversary maps until Christmas, and at the moment I don't have Gold.

I'll be getting Gold soon, though, and organizing a few games between fellow Escapists should be fun. I'm in, though like the OP I won't be treating this as a second job. Just for fun.

I still like ODST's Firefight better than the Reach version. Reach had more options and the matchmaking was a Godsend, but I think the maps were stronger in ODST's Firefight.

Anyway, I'm a pretty big Halo nerd. I even spent some time drawing a Halo fan comic (AHCS if any of you remember it). But truth is I rarely play multiplayer games. Even Halo I play mostly for co-op and single player. Usually the multiplayer stuff I move on from after about 3-5 months.

Still, if you ever play some casual Oddball or Team Dino matches(or any of the crazier more chaotic gametypes), I'd be down in those specific instances. I don't have enough spaces left on my friends list to add a bunch of people. But if something materializes I'd accept a request or two. Just be sure to mention that you are from the Escapist in the request.

It's not that I have anything else against young 'uns, It's just that I would rather not spend my precious litle leisure time socialising with children as I'm a grown man. It would be weird to do so in any other scenario don't you think?

Count me in!! Halos are the only games I like playing online, and I prefer to play them with FRIENDS and like minded folks. Unfortunately once a new Gears or CoD or Battlefiled comes out, most people migrate to the next new thing and I'm left holding a limp Energy Sword... Add me to the list to play Halo 3, ODST, Reach (still need the last mappack, though I'll get it if this group pans out) and/or Halo Anniversary.
