Escapist hit by lulzsec

I just read that the Escapist has been hit by lulzsec. I read this site most days, so I wonder why I didn't hear anything about this from staff. Also - is that why the site has been going down over and over again lately? Anyone else hear about this?

i hadnt heard about it till this post, but i couldnt get on the website last night, so maybe they did, i hope they didn't steal any info, The Escapist better give us some news

I think we can infer from this tweet by Susan Arendt posted just a little before the site was DDoSed by LulzSec that the Escapist staff have decided not to feed the trolls with news about it.

There have been over half-dozen threads about it already by ordinary Escapists however.

Regarding the site going down now and again I don't know. This has happened to me too over the past month or so, especially on Wednesdays (big surprise). So I think the Escapist might have to start thinking about investing in new servers or something =)

Yeah, it was offline for the majority of the evening( UTC+1 time) But, eh.
Don't feed the trolls and ignore the whole thing.

It's not like all hell breaks lose if a game website goes down for a few hours.
No matter how awesome it is.

No problem =) I was online when it happened so I checked the staff tweets. So let's all follow their advice and let those trolls feed elsewhere hmm?
