Escapist Paintballers?

Hello Escapists...

I'm from the north of scotland where there isnt exactly the biggest paintball scene in the world and wondered how many of you go paintballing to any extend whether it is regularly or just once. If so is it mainly speedball or woodsball you play? tourney's etc.... and where abouts? What kind of setup do you use?


I ask this because from the people i have met when playing a large portion of them are gamers and wondered if that was the case for most players.

I don't do it myself but there are quite a few people who do where I live. They are always bragging about the size of their bruises. I have absolutely no idea why they brag about that, how is having a huge bruise a good thing?

Never paintballed, only ever did airsoft, and all of that's been backyard matches at relatively close range. I think the longest distance shot any of us have pulled off was about 140ft which is mostly impressive because it was through a bush.

I have an extensive arsenal, but I don't really do it anymore.

I play. Mostly woodsball, but in relatively small areas with a few friends. Never played a tourney, but I'd like to.

Anyway, since everyone else is talking about it, I got shot in the neck once from 10 feet away. Not a fun experience.

I am a Veteran of paintball combat.

I have seen the horrors that can come from such madness, such barbarity!, Such is war!.

Got shot in the leg, Massive bruise, limped for awhile.
Shot in the crown of the head and visor several times
i was running from cover and a brilliant shot got me in the balls and i collapsed, my teammate just clapped

Ah its good fun

But Airsoft, Now THAT! is awesome.
Working up enough money to get me an MP-44 airsoft rifle, then im off to war again, I might go to Scotland actually, they have a good airsoft place in Edinburgh.

occasionally, mostly in woods/capture the flag, forts etc. Im from North scotland too, do you mind if i ask you whereabouts? im in inverness/glasgow atm, any good places you know thereabouts that i might not ahve been to?

Yup, I play woodsball. All the fun of speed ball but with more jumping out of trees.

My brother chased me around the field behind our house and shot paint balls at me, that is my vast paint-balling experience lol.

I went paintballing once for my birthday. I'd LOVE to go again, got someone with a headshot, luckily it got his helmet and not his face >_> . Because it was my birthday, they did this thing where they told me to run, and everyone took free shots at me. Insanley fun xD

Been only once, played a few objectives in a forest. Good fun, especially if you can run fast enough. Always the first to advance, and I always got the furthest.

I have only done it twice, both were shitty experiences however if i ever get the opportunity to do it again i would be a lot better at it and less of a hiding coward that can't run/shoot for shit.

I went out to do it once. My gun broke before the thing even started so I never got to try it out. But one of the guys was a dick/retard who shot the host of the event point blank in the gut with an entire "clip?" of paintballs. He was coughing blood and had to go to the hospital, and was bleeding internally. So I didn't have a good expirience with paintball.
