So I just have to say, that of all the useful and entertaining discussions that I enjoyed through out this weeks podcast, the one thing that bugs me is that my brain will not except that Gyro is pronounced the same as "Euro." Did this somehow feed into the Greek financial Collapse in recent years? What about all those cleverly named Gyro carts in NYC? How can I ever trust a shop that doesn't even know the true pronunciation of the food it makes... Lost and disillusioned I shall go about my day....

My reasons for switching to Gmail all those years ago was because I was getting tired of having to "put up" with Microsoft and their limitations. The two big reasons was that I was getting a huge amount of spam at the time and it was my responsibility to make sure it didn't plug up the limited amount of space they offered.

Now I haven't switched away from Gmail because they really haven't done anything to offend me as a user and because of how my account is integrated with Chrome, my Android Phone, Google Docs, and Gmail itself I just find it hard to move away from all that, but I am pretty sure if it got frustrating to use like Hotmail did I would leave Gmail also.

You're too kind sir, I've survived a great many things sir, and I think the incorrect pronunciation of words is one of our last basic human freedoms.

That being said I am offering my presidential vote (or any other vote) to the first candidate who correctly proposes legislation (if not a constitutional amendment) to protect that definition of the word Pizza to only refer to pizza coming from New York and to require other forms of pizza to label themselves as such. So that's the kind of man I am...

Hotmail vs Gmail? ICQ?

Perhaps you should rename this podcast to "The ramblings of 30-somethings who remember when the Internet was slightly different but don't actually have any real perspective on life or any specialized technical or scientific knowledge or even a great deal of experience with computers or reading the news or making a point in conversation."

Also, you might want to change your settings so that the video stops showing Marla when she's not the person speaking.

Ah, some nostalgia in this episode, I actually use the little 'uh-oh' from ICQ as my notification ringtone on my phone. On that note, I also did a little google-fu during this episode and found out that ICQ is actually still around. I might be strange, but finding that out made me happy for some reason.

Doesn't seem strange at all to me - it's the same reason I was a little sad to hear that MSN is gone.
