Hello out there,

A while back, The Escapist put on a contest for users to create a web comic. The winner would get their comic up on this site and whatnot. While we didn't win the contest *sniff*, it did give a great push to get something started.

Anyway, the point...and I swear I have one, is that Hi-Res Heroes, which was created for said contest, has been launched today and can be found over at Drunk Duck http://www.drunkduck.com/Hi_Res_Heroes/ Take a gander. It's going to be a weekly thing, with a new comic released each Friday.

It's very game centric and done in a 8-bit pixel art style. The look gains a lot of its inspiration from the old SSI computer RPGs from back in the day. Pool of Radiance...anyone?

Since I've gone on long enough, I'll leave you with some links:
The four comics submitted for The Escapist are still milling about. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/content/webcomic/view?id=74366&page=1&ix=11

The main characters have been made out of Pixel Blocks and can be seen over at Think Geek http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/cubegoodies/6950/action/

...alright. Done. Swear. *runs back to corner o' forum lurking*

Sorry, but advertising is frowned upon here, regardless of whether or not it's something you entered into an Escapist contest. Thus, consider yourself reported, my friend. Also, because this thread is just advertising your stuff, I refuse to click any of those links as a matter of principle. Just so's you know :p.

Sadly advertising is looked down upon.

But I'll try anything once, so I'll see how this comic goes...

Fair enough. One post and the hammer comes down. Well, got to be out in the world for four whole minutes. Rousing success. :p
