Over this summer, I've been training to run a marathon and am just about to reach the milestone of half-marathon, and I'm pleased as punch about it. Only problem is, I reach mental exhaustion before physical exhaustion, sort of tired -of- running instead of tired -from- running. One way that keeps me from losing focus is rotating around a few playlists that work for me (right now it's a variety of Dropkick Murphys, Miracle of Sound, the Outlaws, and Queen) but I'm interested to hear what works for the Escapists' running community. Any good jams that I should think about adding to my playlist?

Running certified by yours truly. Hey I REALLY had to run for a bus, flat out sprint down my main road before the bus finished its roundabout route around the block. MAKOTO, LEND ME YOUR STRENGTH!

I was a fucking mess after but I made it. Sprints for like 2/3 minutes, is doing that secondary breathing thing where you burn alcohol or something for the entire bus journey. Like 100% less efficient than regular breathing. Barely remembered Biology class back in school shut up.

Hopefully the one and only time I run for a bus again. I always have my times planned out well beforehand dammit...

The whole of the BlazBlue soundtrack would work but Makoto and Mu's themes are my favourites.

Other than that.... You have Queen, good man I need to get back into them. Try Dubstep because lol Dubstep and since i'm on a Mirai Nikki marathon right now this would be appropriate

Also consider anything by 3 Inches of Blood if you're into Metal. Advance and Vanquish is the best full album I have ever heard.
