Even though it's Christmas in just over a week, are you still buying things for yourself?

I ask this because today, while chrimbo shopping, i just bought myself 2 Transformer figures (i collect them) and a DVD (Nightmare before Christmas) and was just wondering if you all do the same and what you had bought.

Now obviously i don't buy things i know my mum and auntie etc know i like, because there would be a chance they would get them for me as well, but getting obscure things i think is perfectly fine, i mean hell who doesn't like treating themselves every once in a while?

So do you do the same? if so, what ya get? xD

I didn't have any money left to get myself anything. I bought my mum a TV and my aunt a tablet, and toys for my mates kids. Skinned me. Although, my dad gave me his credit card details so I could get volume 1 of the new 52 suicide squad graphic novel from amazon. It's my christmas present to me!!

certainly; only i know what i really like/want; also, christmas isn't about wishing stuff from people, so i let them do whatever they want (and thus express themselves by doing so), and get stuff i want/need myself - as always :)

Yeah, I just bought Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition and some Magic card singles. I know the cards are safe to buy for sure since if I did get given cards they'd be booster packs more than likely, so old singles shouldn't be an issue.

EDIT: Oh, and I want to buy this [http://users.bendnet.com/storm/Mlpslppnts1.jpg], but I'm waiting until after Christmas since a friend may have gotten it for me.

Planing on buying a pony shirt from WLF, and get a hoodie shipped with it that my little brothers co-worker wants with it. She saw my Rainbow Dash hoodie and just had to have one. ^_^ (She's paying for that, just tagging along with shipping costs).
Also thinking of getting Ace Combat 5 off eBay. Thats about all for plans right now.

If I buy anything for myself during December I like wrapping it up and saving it till the 25th. Makes it seem more special somehow.

Since I'm in college and "independent" now(Read: My parents still boss me around and I am not financially independent yet so I can't really just ignore them), I'm not sure if I will be the subject of wallet emptying presents like when I was a kid, especially considering that I now have 4 older step siblings as of May, last year, and it would be a bit weird for only me to be getting presents when we all live independently and none of them get big presents (as far as I know anyways). I'll probably get a job next semester to I can start buying stuff, like that much sought after intuos tablet that I only found out about like a week ago and now suddenly need direly.

I don't even have any money to buy the boyfriend something for Hanukkah, much less something for me. :'[

Thanks for reminding me. Better go buy some presents soon. ._.

OT: Bought the THQ Humble Bundle a few days ago. Usually buy an extra amount of games with the excuse that it's my Christmas present to myself, though apart from the bundle I've been surprisingly good at keeping my credit card in check this year.

... Maybe I should get Far Cry 3.

I don't really buy anything at any one point during the year...just whenever it's most convenient, I guess.

At the moment, not really. However, that has less to do with me not wanting to treat myself, and more to do with the fact that it won't be long until the Steam Christmas sale, and I'm avoiding spending too much on myself until that.

I want to, but I'm not buying anything because all I really want are games and I have enough of those in my backlog already... I've got a "games to play" pile that's, like, 20 games tall. I don't really need any more right now.

Captcha: Do you shop at Canadian Tire?
I think this is the second time I got this one. I answered "no" the first time and got denied. Seriously, this captcha pisses me off. Like, do I not have the option of not shopping at Canadian Tire? Do I live in some totalitarian state that requires me to shop at Canadian Tire? I'm gonna answer "no" again, since it's the truth.

EDIT: Okay, so I was apparently allow to post this time. I'm a lot less irate about the captcha now.

My family doesn't do traditional Christmas anymore, so yes I do still buy myself the stuff I want around this time of year.

Sometimes I do, under certain circumstances. For example, last week I bought Metro 2033 from GameStop. The special circumstance there is that I've been looking for the fucker since late spring, and when I finally found a copy I couldn't risk passing it up only for someone else to buy it.

(I try to avoid online shopping if I can.)

I try not to this close to Christmas, since I usually get surprised with a game or something at Christmas (And surprising, it's usually one I want, and for the correct system). The only time I buy a game I want is if it's a really odd game, or one that doesn't look like a game I would play. Like Spec Ops: The Line. Looks kind of like a boring "Bro Shooter" by the cover, but definitely is not.

I have myself a little cash put aside for the Steam sale.

There is nothing I want really.

Bought myself a new Xbox 360 slim, since my old one died after 4 and half years of heavy service.
Kinda "forced" christmas present but there it is anyway.

Yeah I recently purchased some cologne as well as some aftershave (It is the veg if anyone here is into wet shaving.) They seemed like something not really worth asking for, and cheap enough that it would be more efficient for everyone to just buy it myself.
