I don't think it will surprise anyone to know the level in question that inspired me to post this thread...

COD4, Veteran, No Fighting in the War Room.

I have been hopelessly stuck on this utter bastard of a gaming torture fest for the last 2 weeks.

I am almost at the point of giving up for the sake of my sanity and my flatmates (they are starting to wonder why I keep randomly shouting expletives behind my closed door...)

Have you ever been stuck to the point of giving up in despair?

And did you give in or fight through till you beat it?

Ever Played a little indie game called "I wanna be the guy?"

You don't even KNOW being stuck on a single part.

Trust me, you'll consider that level easy after trying it.

Battletoads for nes. That damn hover bike level. I hate it so much.

Perseverance pulled me through ... eventually.

Oh God, I wanna be the Guy, stuck on one part doesn't even come close tosaying the hell I went through to beat that game, what with the instant kill everything, rooms that are specifically designed to kill you, and the fact that you have to be a freaking masochist to play all the way through. I must be a super masochist then because I played through the game TWICE.

Water Temple in Ocarina of Time, I kept missing some underwater door; I eventually *just saw it. License tests on Sega GT 2002 were a ***** too.

umm... can't remember the name of the level.
but on CoD WaW on veteran, where you have to breach the reichstag.
I got stuck at the first part of the steps (where the burnt-out panther/Tiger 2 is) for more than a month.

I got stuck on the Forest Temple in LoZ:OoT for 4 years. I got stuck and put it down until 4 years later, it was always a niggling little thing in the back of my mind.

For me, it's the Damned Chess Board.

On Dante Must Die, granted, but I haven't beaten it without cheating (I resorted to using the "unlock everything" code and used Quicksilver style with Super Dante).

I have watched videos of people playing that game...

Even the pros doing the walkthroughs get mad and frustrated with it.

I don't think I have the patience to ever even try it, but I applaud any gamer who manages to finish it

I'm stuck on the final boss of I Wanna Be the Guy. What's crazy about it is that of all the bosses, this one has the most predictable pattern. I've been stuck there on/off again for about 5 months. That game is HARD.

I had to give in and consult a strategy guide in that game at one point... the water temple was ok but jesus, how the fuck was I supposed to know to randomly Bomb the rolling Goron on Death Mountain in order to open up the next part of the story??

Anyone who finished OOT without a guide deserves a medal in telepathy.
