Sorry about the title, didn't really know how to word it..

Sometimes it can be down to save points or sometimes you can be just so caught up in the game you forget to save, then of course you die and never pick that game up again..

If so what games?

It's not that I gave up on Dead Rising, it's just that the crippling time limit and lack of save points meant that I couldn't dedicate a large enough block of time to finish it. Pity; it was a really good game.

I've never got to the point of never picking it up again, but I have left the game to collect dust for anywhere from a week to several months before starting again.

Kinda gave up on Doom 3. I hate how when ever you die you goo back to your last save. Not that bad but the game doesn't have autosave.

Three nights ago, I was playing Platinum to procrastinate a big biology project due the next day. I got heaps and heaps of training done (catching several Pokemon and getting them from about level 6 to level 18). After I finally finished my project, I put the DS in sleep mode and promptly went to bed.

The next day when I came home from school, I started playing Platinum from where I had left off, but got into bed while playing because I was so tired from staying up all night on the project. I got into bed at 2:45. I woke up at 9:00 pm, and immediately jumped up and looked for my DS. It was sitting right there on the bed where I had been playing it hours earlier...face open. With the battery and almost four hours of play time dead. I wanted to cry and throw my DS into the wall.

Erm...but no, I've never given up on a game for that.

P.S.: A very similar thing happened to me playing Ruby version, where I had been playing all day, but then my GBA (the original) fell off my bed and the batteries fell out. I obviously don't save enough, lol.

I know what you mean about Dead Rising, I got to around level 20 replaying the first 30mins before I started to progress into the game.

You should pick it up again, one of the best 360 game IMO.

Left 4 dead got a little annoying with not being able to save in the single player campaign mode but I got over it pretty fast.
