They have personalities and appearance just like anyone you meet on the street, even if they are created by someone else. As a result someone somewhere will like what they see. Not really. I mean, I can see characteristics in fictional characters that I would like to see irl, but I've always been rather well ensconced in reality.

But, if I were to chose a fictional character to have a crush on, GLaDOS has an amazing personality. . . besides the whole psychotic murdering part.
