Nah, I actually haven't tried mead, and I'm not a dwarf, but I thought I'd contribute in some way.

Yes, only once but I liked it. It was Lindisfarne mead, if I remember correctly.

It's quite a sweet drink and is traditionally drunk on "honeymoons" so isn't as manly as some people think, although being newly married to a woman is quite manly.

I've had hot spiced red wine (it was Greek). I wonder if that counts as a mead, or does it have to have honey in it?

Do you know if the wine itself is fortified, like a port?

Jealous of that kid from Scotland. I had to wait till I was 18, then they bumped the age up to 21.

Yeah I have and I love it, had plenty of just the honey one but have also tried the cherry flavoured one which was also nice
The only downside is that it can be quite expensive for a bottle I could quite happily just sit and drink.

I've never had it. I ordered it at Medieval Times once but I don't think that's what I got (actually I have no idea what I got. I remember it being good though).

A roommate brought a bottle home once and I had some of it. I didn't like it at all. Couldn't taste a bit of the honey either.

We concluded that that is why vikings were so mad all the time. They had shit to drink.

I drank some mead once and I honestly wasn't the biggest fan. It was way too sweet for my liking.

Definitely give it a shot though, never a bad idea to try a new drink imo ^_^
