Ever trolled somebody?

Recently i played SC2 with one of my friends (on his computer), and after we won an online battle, the guy we defeated began to write something about losing to retards.
But instead of just ignoring him, like you usually do, i wanted to be a jerk on the internet, just to try and figure out why people do that, so we did the usual stuff, spam him with words lik 'fag' and such, and it was kind of fun. I havent done it ever again, but now i kind of understand why people troll, (but that dosen't mean its ok).

My Question is: have you ever trolled somebody, or tried to 'fight' a troll?

Once we went on this online drawing board at first just to host our own room and mess about but eventually we started joining other rooms, the rooms had some really awesome drawings as well, and spamming the whole thing with a colour war, it was so funny

Yes and yes.

I don't recommend doing either though.

I fight trolls all the time - they bait me too easily and I don't get all that annoyed by them (beyond the immediate response of "damnit, what a prick")

I mean, I know that "fighting" a troll is automatically losing, but, sometimes, things just get to me and I have to type out an angry response.

Haha, this is a good time for me. Though to be fair, I don't know if you'd call this trolling or griefing.

Just a couple of days back, I and six other members of the Halo fans group were playing a big session of Reach. After much lolz had been had in a custom game, we went into Rumble Pit - and realised there would only be one person other than us there. So we all changed our colours to pink, and when the other guy joined (wearing this year's most conspicuous shade of dark purple) we all ganged up on him. It felt cruel, but it was hilarious while we were there. Adding to the hilarity was that he almost stayed with us for another game, and sent me a friends request (!?) and another guy in our group a message saying "u suck and I hate u".

Or there was the time this 12 year old logged into a room on Kongregate (the game being Starland multiplayer TD) and proceeded to call us all "gay". I trolled him for a while, highlights being when he said "I'm just more machure than you" and claimed to be 20, as well as calling me a "creeper" (which sounds like 50s slang to me).

I troll almost everyone I come in contact with in real life. I am much more calm online.

I occasionally troll as a social experiment.

For example, when I trolled LARPers once upon a time, they cried to the mods for a suspension, however, when I trolled the british a month or two later, no mod wrath (after all, who cares about them?)

Free Roam on Red Dead Redemption. I get the explosive rifle and if someone tries to kill me I kill them over and over as soon as they spawn until they leave the game. I call it trolling because I also yell at them in the mic.

Never trolled (if I did something like it, it must've been long before the term got set) and I never bother to fight trolls.

I would stop with that, but apperantly just saying "No." (even when it is the only honest answer) is considered trolling -.-
