*NOTE: Invincible characters/ Characters that instantly kill anything don't count. Sorry America, no Cthulhu this round. That's not fair*
If all of our great fictional characters were to duel, who would win? Sherlock Holmes could use amazing detective skills to put everyone in jail, but Japan has all it's giant monsters and what not. America's got Batman and Jack Bauer and all of Lovecraft's NOT invincible creations. These are just examples, so whose country would win? Which character would be the champion?

I'm pretty proud of America as far as fiction goes, but I'd have to say Japan. They do have all of these, after all:

Then again, we've got Shoggoths.

America has the JLA, and the JLA has Batman (and an underrated Superman, anyone who can juggle continents and shoot fire from their eyes is awesome to me, before haters start, he'll be following Batmans tactics...)

Hmm... the Marvel Zombies virus (Which I believe is sapient) kills anything- not through true power (So, it is not "Overpowered") but rather through forced camaraderie and tenacity. Those crazy zombies ate every living thing in their entire universe. FOR STARTERS.

That includes Galactus and various living planets!

So, America, I guess? Stan Lee made most of the characters seen within MZ.
