Ummm, read the 16th amendment to the US constitution.

It gives the federal government the power to tax you.

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

10th amendment. The powers not explicitly granted to the federal government or specifically prohibited of any government are the purvue of the individual states.

There has to be an actual law which states that American citizens are required to pay federal income tax.

The amendments to the thingy (Constitution? - I'm not american, blame that) are technically the law aren't they? America was founded on thoese values etc. and so they are part of the laws. So pay your damn taxes.
