So, something is no doubt wrong... I tried playing ME1 just now, for the first time. At first everything looked good, but then some seriously strange things happened. The entire screen got frizzy and the some of the pixels suddenly became huge compared to their microscopic previous size. This only got worse until you couln't tell at all what was going on in the screen. I restarted ME1, did nothing to help. I was sugested to turn of the grainy screen option, also did nothing.

Now I decided I've had it with trying to make ME1 (after reinstalling once and not having found any answers in their support site), so I started up my trusty old TES IV: Oblivion. Here comes the shocker, it's just as bad there... I started up Killing Floor as a final test, same thing.

Oh, good... Here I thought ME1 was the problem, but it's just my 13,000NOK PC. *phew* Dodged a bullet there! (irony my dears...)

So, anyone seen anything like this before?

The fact that you've only just played Mass Effect 1 for the first time? ;-)

What? You play all games just as they are launched?
Yes but then it has been well documented that I have the social life of the Omega Man :p

I was going to say that it was just Mass Effect's optional "film grain" effect but...you have a problem on your hands.

Well not really since I'm in a Metal band and all, so really it was a bad analogy but you get the idea xD

Op, does this pis in any way resemble what's occurring on-screen when you play?

If it does, you're sunk. You need a new graphics card.
