I had a hard time interpreting the ending of F.E.A.R.2: Project Origin after rushing through the the nine hour long game two days after picking it up. You see, F.E.A.R. 1 ended with a large explosion while the direct sequel ended with a random sexual intercourse scene that was incredible disturbing and, without and better words, fucked up. I wondered about how any company could follow up with such a traumatizing and weird ending. Well, it seems that Monolith decided to drop that story just like they dropped Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate, F.E.A.R. 1's expansions.
To start, Reborn puts you in the shoes or 813, a genetic soldier who hallucinates and kills some of his squad mates. From there on out, you have to survive what feels like an endless amount of soldiers who with try to gun you down while you are repeatedly told by an old guy that you must "release him". Not much of a story but enough to get you through the hour to 2 hour long quest.
Besides a new but cool HUD, this is F.E.A.R. 2's game play, sounds, graphics, and weird shit but with a new dude who somehow also can slow down time. I loved F.E.A.R. 2 so I had a great time with this game but I fear to state that the shotgun's power from F.E.A.R. 1 hasn't returned so you can only chunkify the bodies. You can not make the bodies fly like frisbees like in the original game.
Sound: 5/5 still sounds great
Graphics: 4/5 still looks like F.E.A.R.2 (there okay but not outstanding)
Game play: 5/5 still strong and a lot of fun
Fun Factor: 3/5 it is fun but just feels too short compared to F.E.A.R. 1's expansions
