Surprise surprise, todays announcent by the man himself confirms that Lionheads revolutionary countdown was the build up to Fable III, due out summer 2010.

Peter needs to choose what kind of game he wants to make; an action-adventure or an RPG. Because judging from the first two Fables he can't merge the two at all.

I think there are recognizable features of both, the treasures, puzzles and hack and slash are not dissimilar to action adventure.....the fact that you are the hero from childhood to adulthood in 2 you become king or queen. Your interactions with every npc and gaining experience to level up, that aspect is very much role playing.

Im still feeling disappointed by fable 2 hope fable 3 will be much longer and more game play

did you notice anything odd in 2 from 1.....like Theresa has been alive for at least 200 years, and in 1 it was almost the same story as in 4 hero's were used for goal for jack of blades though.....which makes me think theresa in 2 is jack of blades and now has control of the spire, 2's story is much darker than 1 leading me to believe that 3 will progress likewise.
