Ideas that have failed. I have many, like the Historically-accurate map of omaha beach for Battlefield, or my militia of airsoft warriors, or the rope-in-a-pen. Have you any failed inventions, or in some cases, dreams?

A War on Terror? Skipping all the deep meaningful arguments -

you can't stop nutters from being nutters, Billions of dollars of security, armed invasion of other countries, if someone wants to fill their pants with semtex and wander into a school or store, you can't stop them, and to be honest, the 'War' just tells nutters that they're right.

I seem to remember an idea where we should change the word 'terrorist' to 'wanker' as in
'Late last night a wanker walked into Walmart and blew himself up, so far no wanker groups have taken responsibility for the wanker's actions'.

It's along the same idea as Frankie Boyle's suggestion that we drop 'ASBOs' and call them bender badges, robbing them of any 'cool'.

Also, I hate the fact that the Mail 'pre-moderates' its comments sections, although I'm sure its because people keep logging in to post facts underneath every page of fiction that they publish, and they don't wish to look any more foolish.

I've actually tried to make a fair balanced, well structured and readable comment before against their 'video games are killing our children' tales, but I've never seen one make it onto the site. Shouldn't be surprised really.

Also, if all children are thugs and criminals, and the daily mail wants the death penalty back, surely they should be in favour of videogames? but then I'm foolishly applying logic to their thinking instead of flipping a coin to decide my opinions.

In 1985 I tried to learn Japanese as part of my training to become a ninja... That just didn't pan out, but I can still say "underwear, frying pan, and toilet in Japanese."

How do you know?

I'd say that starting a thread entitled "Ask a Christian.." is a failed idea...

How many religions are there in the world that call themselves christian, still can't agree on the colour of shit?

Atheism & Agnosticism. To God, they're both the same thing.

I'm still working on a functional Walchaerts Valve Gear in 3DS Max.

The combination lever (component 12) relies on the motion of components 8 & 11, as well as them relying on 12. (Position Floaters and LookAt constraints), which causes a dependency loop, so the constraints cancel themselves. I have no idea how to make it work.

My friends and I successfully did this! If jumping bikes over a pit of fire counts.

I think this post is a failed idea and somewhat offensive. Did you happen to see how many pages that thread went on for?

Me likes.

Wrong about the Atheism & Agnosticism though!

For ten or so years I've been working on my own table-top game design and my own pen'n'paper RPG. Still got nothin.

The above is entering the public playtest stage, after 4 years and many, many rewrites.

Stick with it, brother. (Or sister. Damn this internet anonymity.) :)

PM me if you want a tabletop-game-designer-chat, too.

I personally don't think God does/would give a damn about being worshipped, really. Unless gods live on belief and we're some kind of celestial brunch bar/life-support machine. :)
