About a nine I suppose. The only reason people have such a low opinion of it is that the most vocal of people are the problem itself, while the reasonable and understanding people are the quiet ones.

2-4, it actually fluctuates between those two ratings.

I wish I could get it higher, but I'm constantly reminded of just how primitive and inferior we are as a species.

Seven or eight. I have hope, and I'll be damned if those pessimists here on the Escapists are going to rain on my parade

My faith in humanity is actually one because all I hear is negative results from almost everyone and any good results end up being outweighed by negative results, however there are very rare group of people in the world that have good value in the world and will do things to protect any good left in the world such as what the Japanese did in that recent nuclear accident and to me no negative responses and lower my faith in humanity after that... Even the horrid American responses I saw popped all over the internet.

Edit: Plus the nuclear missile stockpile that a few countries gathered got me thinking if one country pushed the "riiiight" button with a sharp stick the other will red the big red one.

In general? I'd say about 1. As for individuals I treet them as they come, there's plenty of nice people out there. However, I have a feeling that places like New Orleans are going to be just as dilapidated and African children just as emaciated in 20 years time as they are now. People who want to make philanthropic endeavours are usually either to indolent, quixotic or too few in number to really make a significant impact. Whereas people in charge of our economies are too busy refunding banks to give a shit about the underprivilaged, since the latter generates more profit and thus satisfies the avaricious needs of the powers that be. Still, nice to see people trying to help each other out every now and again, its just a shame those people geneally represent a minority in humanity.

Yeah, it's basically that people only think about their "faith in humanity" when they're in bad moods.

Me, myself? 9 at least. I consider myself a cynical optimist. Everything's going to work out fine, although it's going to take the odd turn or two getting there.
