Ok I just don't understand how I got one of these damn things on my PC. I'm pretty bad with computers, but I'm not this bad. At least I hope not. So anyway, today I suddenly found windows xp anti virus 2012 on my pc. I only went to 3 sites today and I'm sure they are all pretty safe. One being this website, Teamliquid, and Youtube being the others. I did not click any win xp anti virus pop ups or anything. I was just reading stuff when it suddenly opened. Can a virus like that be on a PC for a while before it starts? Because it was fine yesterday, and like I said I'm 99% sure I could not have picked it up today.
So anyway I booted in safe mode and ran a bunch of anti viruses and they seem to have cleaned it up. However my registry seems messed up now, and i can't open anything without finding the .exe first. No shortcuts work it seems. I guess i can just reinstall windows, but i like to know how the damn thing got on my rig in the first place.
