I fall asleep around 3-4:30 every single night and as a result i get up around 2-3. I have tried falling asleep at an average time but i always end up just laying in bed awake. Does anyone have tips or anything that could help me sleep better?

Ram your head very fast into a wall. Repeat as necessary.

I stay up till 6-7 each and every night and wake up anywhere from 2-6. It's just my fancy sleeping schedule and I'm sticking to it.

Stay up all night. When you wake up at 3PM, stay awake until 9PM or 10PM the next day. You'll probably be hurting pretty badly around 8AM, but you've got to resist temptation and stay awake. When night finally rolls around, you'll be so bushed that you'll fall asleep without issue.

Failing that, watch the third Harry Potter movie. That thing is dull.

Have quiet, calming music played for you while you attempt to sleep. Loud enough so that you hear it, but quiet enough so it isn't your main concern.

Helps me atleast, otherwise just wake up everyday at a reasonable time, get really tired over a few days and you'll have enough pent up tiredness to go to sleep at a reasonable hour!!!

Meditate lying down while listening to the song Close to the Edge by Yes.

You'll feel peaceful as hell and sleep like a baby.

Usually when I screw up my sleep schedule (which is pretty frequent) I go to sleep at whatever time is comfortable and set an alarm for the next morning significantly earlier. That way when you go to sleep the next night it will be easy to go to bed when you want although that day following won't be much fun but it should definately improve your sleep schedule after a couple of days.

I have done the nighttime cold medicine but i don't have enough lol.
The reason i need to work on this is that I'm gonna be fucked for university this september if i don't develop a regular sleep pattern.

That sucks, but that's why I always keep plenty on hand, not that it does me much good now, my sleep schedule's screwed over too. I have to get up at 9 and go to a class, but I can't fall asleep until at least 4:00. And not even the mighty power of generic brand cold medicine can help me.

Seriously? Get a lot of exercise. Go for a run during the day. If I can't sleep I'll do push ups, sit ups, and the like until I'm exhausted.
