Well, I just saw the recent series premiere of Falling Skies, and since this is a show that nearly flew completely under my radar, I was wondering who among you also managed to see it?
For those of you unaware, Falling Skies is a new sci-fi T.V. series about a resistance fighting alien invaders after humanity has been almost completely wiped out. Think Terminator: Salvation, but with robots AND aliens.
Anyway, after seeing the premiere, my high hopes proved to be well founded. It's a big-budget, well-acted, well-written action-adventure-sci fi-drama starring a bunch of relatively unknown actors. The scenery looks great, the aliens are pretty convincing and prove to be a genuine threat, and, oh yeah, robots that are like a mix of The Terminator, the mech from District 9, and Predator.
It's got a real 'struggle for survival' feel to it, kind of like Walking Dead with character depth, and it seems like its going to be one of the more promising shows to come out.
So, anybody else see it (If not, please go watch it now)? What did the rest of you who did see it think?
