Ok so here's the deal...i have a 20 in Fallout 3. I've done every quest exept Rielly's Rangers because my medicine skill isn't high enough. I want to get broken steel so i can get my 30 and actually finish the game, but i'm at dilemma as to which other dlc to buy.

so here's where you come in.

Please tell me which dlc to get and explain why

I haven't played it, but I heard that The Pitt is supposed to be the best one. Not really sure, though.

Point Lookout. You get a perk that increases damage done and DR while standing still, so VATS is a beast after that.

Buy BS (<- Joke! lol!). It has some nice weapons, not to mention, quests, level cap raise and free roam... FOR EVER! Either this or Point Lookout, which is also very atmospheric and interesting to play.
You could say that PL is to Fallout 3 what Shivering Isles is to Oblivion. And if you happen to have extra money in your wallet, buy all the dlc there is for Fallout 3, every addon adds a new experience to the game. I enjoyed them all to be honest and I don't have any major complaints.

Point Lookout and Broken Steel are supposed to be the best. I've only bought those two and Anchorage and there's a huge leap between them. Also If you just go to the hotel in downtown D.C. You can start the quest without waking Reilly.

Those perks are screwed. You get the damage bonus regardless if you are standing still or not.

I would get all except for Mothership Zeta, starting with Broken Steel.
Higher level cap and continueing to the main story.

either Pitt if you want an industrial setting, or point lookout if you want a rural setting, leave the other dlc till later cause theyre not as good.

Point Lookout. Free roaming beats everything else. Inbred hicks and a merchant with 100 repair help.
Yes, listen to Nitpicker. But, if you don't want Point Lookout, get The Pitt. Operation: Anchorage is only good for the equipment at the end.
Yesssss... listen to Nitpicker...

Mothership Zeta should be at the bottom of your list. Lots of visuals, not much else.

I agree with the sentiment that Point Lookout is best. It's much more free roaming than any of the others, where you're pretty much led to the objectives.

Mothership zeta, its fun, you get a lot of bang for your buck, the weapons are good, the graphics are great, the story is interesting, and while it is part of fallout 3 it feels completely unlike fallout 3 at the same time

You forgot the quest objectives! Go here, blow this up. Invariably. :D There's not even an interesting plot twist, like the Outcast coup d'etat in Anchorage.

I wish you could re-play it.
The Pitt is quite good in general.

Broken Steel isn't the best DLC (Though it's most important because of Level 30 cap.)

Personally, I think that Point Lookout is the best.
Don't expect too much.

So Point Lookout is a good choice if you've got Broken Steel, otherwise get Broken Steel first.

I've only got The Pitt and Anchorage. Both are stunning and facinating.

I only wish you could have got the Winter Combat armour as well as the other cool stuff in Achorage.

I'm planning to get all the rest as i love the game so much.
