Point Look & Mothership Zeta Come To Fallout 3 June/July

Of course we had already talked about Point Look, but Mothership Zeta is a surprise Bethesda has cooked up. Remember the Alien spaceship where you find the Blaster? And the Alien signal you heard as you approached? Well, watch out, that is the Mothership Zeta coming to get you!

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!!!!!

Here is an article that explains it better than I can:

Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh moy dog ho yo mom!!!

Mothership Zeta?!?! w0000000000!!!1

(I'm excited - can you tell?)

Man, oh man. I thought I was done Fallout 3. My last playthrough was the definitive playthrough. I did everything. Every Bobblehead, every location discovered, every quest, every downloadable content. I even ran around in my underwear wearing Lincoln's hat declaring myself President and throwing grenades at everyone. What more could there have been to do?

But there's gonna be MORE? Hoo WAH!

Ugg why can't Bethesda make their DLC free? It's not like they aren't making huge sums of money anyway. Math here: $60 dollars for the game (I bought the $80 collector's edition), Operation Anchorage $10, The Pitt $10, Broken Steel $10, Zeta $10. That's at least $100 for one game with all the trappings, not including Point Look. That's up there with monthly subscription games in total cost. At least some developers have the decency to release free DLC *cough Valve *cough.

But what's the point in complaining. I'm just going to buy it anyway.

Well, until all that wonderful Wasteland goodness gets here, maybe I'll start another character and specialize in...unarmed...or something...

Or maybe I should finish Oblivion someday. Hmm.

Thats like saying "Why not just give away free missiles along with the nuclear bunker?".

BECAUSE THEY COST MONEY TO MAKE. They're a company. They're not just going to give away free DLC when it costs so much to make. Only small DLC's can be free, such as L4D's survival mode and Burnout: Paradise's bikes update.

But by that same token, all of the DLC so far has been horribly plagued by bugs and crashes, even after big delays in release. Only Broken Steel hasn't bugged out on me yet, but that's because I got it a week and a half after release. If I'm paying ten bucks for a quest line, it better at least work. I have to say that as awesome at FO3 is, Bethesda has done a depressingly poor job of making the game as airtight as possible. It's easily the buggiest game I own.

Even though its had its problems, I have loved all of the DLC's so far and this news of more makes me happy that more fallout is coming our way. Win.

Can you imagine the weapons we will get on Mothership Zeta? I can't wait to find out what weapons/armor we will get on that one!

You may have noticed that you can find a second Alien Blaster onboard the Enclave Mobile Platform during Broken Steel, along with a decent amount of Alien Power Cells. So hopefully there will be more of those, and maybe even a Firelance or two.
