Fallout 3 GOYY dlc install problems

yea i have read that a lot of people have this problem.
i can get the original fallout 3 to install but when i install the DLC it does not show up.
i can get the disk to work and the setup but after it says it has installed nothing changes ingame any ideas how to fix this?

any help would be nice

I think I may have the same problem with the copy I got off Steam last week. It's as if the DLC is not there...
