Fallout 3 remake

I was just wondering if anyone else would like to see a remake of fallout 3 in the classic fallout style a.k.a. semi turned based and top down, ya know all that good stuff. You could keep the story and the weapons and the DLC, but it would just look like fallout 1/2. Don't get me wrong I really like fallout 3 but I also liked fallout 1 and 2.

Any thoughts?

I played fallout 3, loved it, and decided to invest in the previous two.

Yes, the games are really fun, but I enjoyed the FPS-style of F3 too much to enjoy the previous games.

It might be interesting to see how it would fare, but being able to walk the wasteland freely, and the real-time feel of the combat made it a lot better in my opinion.

Of course, if you asked me about this with other games, I might have different opinions.

No, we cant just keep making a series in the same image as our old favourites. Change is a good thing, in the sense that it brings about new things.

I'm not saying Bethesda has to make it, a fan made one would be cool too.

I'd say no. If anything, I'd rather see a return to the old Fallout battle system instead of the bastard child it is now. Not to mention the writing.

No. They have a mod for that on Fallout3Nexus.

Forget that, I would love it if someone remade Fallout 2 using the Fallout 3 engine.

I'm curious; I wonder what would happen if they did this, and then remade the old ones with the Oblivion engine? I wonder how the fans crying out for FO3 being isometric would react.

Yeah. Every one's happy, I guess, although some fans would still find something to complain about.

To do that, you'd need to make Oblivion on the Fallout engine first, then mod it into Fallout 3.

Why?! Why does a 6 month old game need a remake?! Its like saying I want a remake of the new Watchmen movie.
