Fallout 3, the Enclave are the good guys, so why do we fight them?

I know that its an old topic, but it may seem that the Enclave are bad but they are the remnant of the U.S Government and are just following the idology and plans of the pre-war government. They have the tech and the men, so maybe the Brotherhood taking the water purifier was bad because the Enclave could have distributed the water with more ease and it would have been more protected then what the rivet security gave it. sure they would have killed the mutants but it is a neseccary move in order to presure the future of man. All in all the Enclave are the good guys, Without sacrifice there is no progress. Discus

...Because they're trying to wipe out pretty much everyone? It'd be like if the East side of the country got infected with zombies and the government nuked it. People would not like that, and it's probably a worse idea than just collecting the survivors and bunkering down in safe areas, and sealing off the bad area.

In the world of the Enclave, only the Enclave will really be left. Even the people in the control vaults aren't safe, as they're generally ensalves/taken for testing/killed by the Enclave.

So, yeah, bad guys.

Spoken like someone whose obviously not played Fallout 2. The Enclave don't just want to eliminate the Super Mutants and the Gouls, they want to eliminate everyone that's even been slightly mutated by radiation, which pretty much means everyone in the whole wasteland whose not still living in a vault. That's why they're the bad guys.

No, I think it should be "only idiots can't progress without sacrifice."
Also, the enclave were assholes. Trying to rid the world of every non-smooth-skin.

I do agree. Killing innocent people, no matter for what cause, is murder. The "greater cause" excuse, is still an excuse.

I'm okay with punishing guilty people for a 'greater cause' though. Maybe that's why I watch 24.
