So I watched this earlier and to be honest, I didn't find it anywhere near as funny as their Blue Harvest (which wasn't as funny as the series anyway, but I did laugh for about 14 minutes at the "I poke-out-a-my head [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXNBKGR9-sY]" line)

It seemed to be a pretty much ad-verbatim copy of the original film, but with one joke thrown in to every scene.

Good Stuff
-The Teen Wolf Scene Reference
-The Lando in Hans Clothes Reference
-"I Love You" ... "Fuck off"
-Tom Selleck

Bad Stuff
-The drawn out excessive siging in the Hoth/Taunton Scene. Just wasn't funny imho.
-The Repetitive shooting of the inside of the Monster-in-the-meteorite scene. Ditto.
-It just seemed that 90% of the film was straight up copy of the original with, like i said, one joke strewn here and there was lacked the comedy punch that the TV series had. The fact that one of my "bad stuff" section summarises the entire film, and the four "good stuff" lists the only times I properly laughed in the movie is not a good sign!

As a star wars parody, it falls flat in comparison to, say, "Thumb Wars [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ06RKGcPBI]" but that is just my view.

What do you guys 'n' gals think about it?

did you watch the first one? it was the same way

also a parody is supposed to follow the original but deviate a bit from it.

i loved the whole Robot Chicken/Without a Paddle dig at the end.

Ya know I actually enjoyed this all the way through. Had some awesome jokes. Cookie Monster was the one that got me. Also the 'sharing an office' bit.

"Ah Jim, robot camels".

I loved that line. I really enjoyed it. Yes, it's Family Guy so it is filled with throw away gags and it's not exactly high brow stuff - but I enjoy it.
