Bsically, my question is: How did you become a fanboy of whatever console/game/game series that you are a fanboy of?

For me, I became a Ratchet and Clank fanboy a while back when by brother bought the first Ratchet and Clank game. My brother didn't want me playing one of his games, so the next day, I faked being sick, stayed home from school, and played it all day long.

Sony, the PSX was amazing and the quality is consistent.

Wrestling, I love it, I used to do it, feel the energy of the crowds, it needs defending from many people that aren't quite as well educated as others

Hrm....

I'm a soul reaver fanboy. I was able to deal with terrible gameplay and repetitive design simply for the -voice acting-. I don't regret it at all, no game has done better, in my eyes.

huge low, hard, beds,: when i was a kid i used to share a bunker bed whit my sister and i could always fell the fence at night and i had the top bunker so getting something to drink or go to the toilet (i think there was a relation between the two) was a chore, when we grew older and i got my own room i still had a one person bed and when my arm fell over the sides it couldn't touch the ground, and it was so damn soft i couldn't move freely, and even though i must have had 5-6 beds they where all small soft and high, so when i finally moved out (acctually i moved out at a the young age of 16, but sleeping horrible for 16 years makes it feel much longer) i bought the hardest madras that where 2.50mx2m, laid it on the floor and ive been sleeping like an angel for the last 3½ years.

I don't think I've been a fanboy of anything since the great schism between Unreal Tournament and Quake 3. The reason I fell on the UT side was simple - I could best my circle of gaming friends at that game while they would annihilate me at quake 3. Why wouldn't I be a fan of the game that I was good at and rag on the game that I secretly enjoyed but was utterly incompetent in?

Also a R&C fanboy, as they are also great games.
I wish you were allowed to do the Clank levels over and over again. I love the puzzles. And that's what makes them great. It has puzzle aspects, but the puzzles can be solved with violence. The ones that aren't have the cool little minigame with that one thing. The creative weapons are cool (See shuriken wristwatch, meteorite shooter) and the enemies are cooler. Also, you can go from swamp planets, to huge cities, to a floating arena. A pretty perfect game, if I do say so myself.

Killers fanboy (points to username) ever since my brothers girlfriend-then-ex-girlfriend-now-girlfriend-again gave my brother a CD with 'Somebody Told Me' on.

I've been hooked from then on.
Pfft. That would be Mister Brightside.

Anyone that's been alive for more then five years knows that ^.^

<--- I played it. Simple as that.

Also, Classic rock. I used to listen to Linkin Park (BLEH!) when I was about ten, then my dad introduced me to classic rock, those Linkin Park CDs went right in the trash.

Someone, here on the escapist, also introduced me to Django Reinhardt of which I am now a rabid fan.

Actually, you'd be surprised - barely anyone in my year knows it :O

WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?!
That's because when it came out, people in your year thought Beyblades were a neat idea. Sorry, I worked for 2 weeks in a primary school when I was like 11. My school burnt down and my mum said she'd (make my dad) give me some money to help out in her class for a bit. As a result, I hate anyone born after 1993. Also, Somebody Told Me != Mr. Brightside. Not that I like The Killers particularly, I just know these things. I disgress.

Oh right, I'm not a fanboy of anything. I enjoy independant bands with female vocalists because I prefer listening to the female voice. Especially when it's tuneless. Umm. I guess that's as close as I get. I like books and games based on how much I like the character. Actually, to be exact, how much I like A character. I pick one early on and if they meet my expectations than the piece of media is a success.
TV show: Veronica Mars from Veronica Mars
Game: Heather Mason from Silent Hill 3
Book: Seras Victoria from Hellsing
You see? All awesome.

I'm a reformed Sega fanboy, (Probably due to being on Sega's side of the 4th gen console war.)although I'm still a loyal consumer of Sega products.
