nice opinion, not entirely sure where the question or discussion happens, but this is the kind of opinion shared by I don't know, everyone maybe? Also the only way something could lose is place in the world is if people who like them disappear.

The fanboy-ism of frat boys doesn't relate to actual gamers, they are the kind of folk who have played a total of 15 different games and only like 2 because they can't wrap their minds around something else. Honestly it's mostly laziness coupled with not having much money to try what they want so they justify their single purchase to themselves.

As for fanboyism, what else would you excpect, they're fanatics, just liek people who will bash you in the head with their political manifesto of choice, or relegious symbol or lack tehreof, or how PETA will label you as a murderer for swatting an annoying fly.

As for teh single player thing, lots of single player games are still hyped, you see how often threads spring up about HL2:E3, you noticed how hyped GoW was, you notice how people obsess about final fantasy?

My point is, i don't think you need to be afraid of multiplayer pushing SP games aside, i eman, it's not like online multiplayer is new in any way, and so far, single player games have survived just fine.

Don't worry bout fanboys, just laugh a bit inside and move on (or troll them for the lulz)

because Fanboy's refuse to believe they are fan-boys... which is usually the point at which i refer to them as fan-girls to irritate them further.

to be honest original poster, you almost sounded like a fanboy of hitman, a game which i don't particularly like... just saying.

i think that we need a real topic of discussion... i'm a Fanboy of monster hunter, Ape Escape and the manga One Piece.

Prepare to be eaten alive. I myself am a massive Halo fan, but I know that the games and universe are not for everyone. However, this site seems to have a passion for hating people that don't like Halo and MW simply because everyone says so [i/only[/i] for the purpose of pissing off fan-boys which on the Escapist is known as trolling.
