Fans of Tabletop RPGs what do you think of this video game called Talespire

This still developing video game plays literally like a Tabletop RPG with Dices and Figures/Statues its pretty much a literal simulator of a Tabaletop RPG game.



Found this game to be really intreguing and I just wanted to spread the word on on it.

Is this the one with specific characters? Or does it allow you to make your own games?

Seriously DnD, just make a virtual version of the 5e books and gimme! (I had hoped that last DnD game would be that, but nope, Neverwinter Nights is still the closest to a true virtual DnD maker)

I guess I should express some actual thoughts.

I love DnD, and am always looking for ways to better play it. I dont know the actual rules to this, but even if I can just use it for creating locations, but using DnD 5e, that will likely be well worth it. Though I suppose I hope the rule set is good too. Especially if its atleast general enough that I can maybe use it to do campaigns in my world with people not in my own house, since I always want to try with new people.

Either way, glad to know this exists.

Edit: I also usually hate mods but...even I can see the value if this game is made super moddable.

Problem is I do not know how long it will take in development, I know that the makers say they are a very small team and only work part time. So I predict at least less than 5 years it will take.
