When you look at certain games sly cooper, mario, sonic, ratchet and clank etc. some of you might think "oh wow wonder what it would be like to live in that world" you know where every single person isn't either a racist asshole or a donkey asshole, then you go and check online to see what new topics came up regarding your favorite games or series you think of in that manner then someone posts video interviews or guest appearances of voice actors of certain characters or gameplay directors , or someone from the Dev team, then suddenly that little part of imaginative wonder in the back of your heart starts to cry

This is my point we're in an age that playing the game and experiencing something good isn't enough anymore, now we need to talk to the development team , see pics of the voice actors , wonder who is voicing who and will they sound okay, whos writing the story, whos publishing what, whos developing what, was all this point last generation? NO it wasn't and people went on with there lives, the game industry is becoming like Disney Channel ( hated that with a passion) I don't want to talk to the people behind who made the product I adore, you can't do this crap with real people games like gears or halo I don't really care because who cares about humans right? *shot* what really bothers me is the mess with cartoon style games or shows, they do this shit, it takes away the realness from the world they made
they did this to death with halo & bioshock which to be honest I think took away from the product itself I'm sure others agree.

What pissed me off enough to even rant about it was one website they posted a pic Bella Hudson for guest interview they were having for the site, for those who don't give two cookies and or don't know she voices Blaze the cat, Monkey D Luffy (bizarrely) , and Ikiza from yu-gi-oh 5Ds and a few others, people want alittle publicity for there career thats fine but others don't need to treat it like a extra treat that adds to the series it actually takes away from it , I still remember the fuss the internet had whe Yuji Naka left sonic team or all the petitions that were made to have Ryan Drummed voice sonic still instead of Jason griffen ( voices sonic in sonicx ) to me I feel all of this is not needed. you don't see anyone asking to see the voice actors behind the people who shout out names and crap that you shoot at in call of duty or who voiced marcus in gears of war no because there all real people, people bag on anthros so much but I love anthros , because at least its something different, something thats rarely used in anything , oh wait it is used but its only for children,

why? because there animals and we all know animals can't speak or walk or talk or have brains and blah blah my hatred of that goes so deep I'm not going to get into it. all of this takes away from the believability of the world of the game you enjoy , some may not be bothered by it I try not to pay attention myself but its dis heartening when its shoved right in your face,

and it still blows me back about the mess that was mass effect 3 why all the hate, ranting, emails and such I thought you just enjoyed the story for what is was? people say its because your choices didn't effect the ending in the ME3, nothing mattered it all ended the same , well news flash people SOMETIMES YOU DON'T GET TO CHOOSE!

but I'm going off topic my real conclusion is that I think people just love looking at themselves and games that don't feature people they need to appear behind the scenes, even in Sonic All Stars transformed you put some nascar racer in the dame game I thought fantasy was suppose to be fantasy not fantasy but here's some reality as well,

We use to play games as an escape, the same way read books but now we play games only to have the same worldly shit shoved in our faces and this is not gaming, this is just reminding me of the shitty race I was forced to be apart of quietly wishing 2012 will take place and drown every last dingbat clinching on to there itablet with there last remaining breathe.

Happy Thanksgiving <3 ( to those that celebrate it )

On the one hand, those are just extra bits, you don't need to go watch that if you don't want to.

OTOH, I do know what you mean. Knowing stuff about the people involved affects your perceptions of their work.

I love the Legacy of Kain games, I loved the story. Say, I wanted some more of it, as in, more of the same writer. Are you saying I shouldn't bother looking up who that is and maybe expressing interest in their other works? Because that is extra crap that doesn't affect my enjoyment of the games, after all. Or, maybe I really liked one of the voice actors, so...why shouldn't I look up their name? Maybe I will get a chance to hear more of them. For the record, Tony Jay is one of my favourite voices ever, and love hearing him. Same with Simon Templeman. It helps that Simon Templeman is most usually cast in a role I really like - sort of ambiguous but towards the black scale of morality characters - Kain (LoK), Teyrn Loghain (Dragon Age: Origins), Dr Archer (Mass Effect 2, the Overlord DLC).

I shouldn't be expressing interest because you don't want to? And you don't even have to?
