It's weird but that exact notion elicits a completely different response from me. I completely get where you're coming from, but my immediate reaction is roughly "Screw that, I'm in this for me". I'll eventually be forgotten so feck it, I'm going to enjoy myself and make my life and those around me as fun and happy as can be. Since I/We will be forgotten in a number of years, who cares what others think? As long as when I do die I can look back and say "yeah, that was a laugh" I'll consider it mission accomplished.Timewave Zero said:The knowledge that I am completely inconsequential in the universe - nothing more than a small drop of paint on the bottom rung of the ladder of existence. To know that there unfathomable, uncaring, amoral, incomprehensible forces who are so more powerful in every convievable fashion that they could end our entire existence in the universe before any one of us took notice that anything was going on out there.
To know that the second I die, another tiny little, pointless light will pop out and be taken up by the darkness of the yawning gulf of oblivion.
THAT is far more awful to me than death - to know that while I live, I am nothing and could be reduced to a lowly, mindless slave by alien intelligences any second.
Then die.
Probably not so good for you then, because this is pretty much what'cha get in life.Timewave Zero said:The knowledge that I am completely inconsequential in the universe - nothing more than a small drop of paint on the bottom rung of the ladder of existence. You don't need to die to know this.Timewave Zero said:The knowledge that I am completely inconsequential in the universe - nothing more than a small drop of paint on the bottom rung of the ladder of existence. Without Tidus that would be heaven for me :/FargoDog said:Trapped in a room with Misa Armani having a screaming conversation with Tidus.

Although when you think about it, your point is mentally jarring to say the least.
